WANT TO LEARN MORE?
I love being a mom. I mostly adore my son, although he has turned (quite surprisingly) into a teenager. I suppose the good news is that I did enough of the right stuff to allow him to survive to this point. The other news? He is, in fact, a teenager, and all that that entails. I'm pretty sure we'll both survive this little developmental stopover. Time will tell.
I work, mostly, to keep a roof over our heads. At various times, I have been a rabble rouser, a teacher, a singer, a strategic planner and seller of stuff (not necessarily in that order, and not necessarily only one at a time). I will continue to do these things until I find a patron who will pay me to write full time. Please contact me ASAP if you would like to be that patron.
I have just launched my Poet-in-Residence program, to explore the connection between poetry, prayer, God and community, using text study, discussion, prayer and writing. Working with both adults and kids, participants will be able to forge a deeper connection to, and find more meaning in prayer and in their Jewish identity.
I have been writing for most of my life, and in 2009, I entered the blogospere with a vengeance (at Stumbling towards meaning, here). I use poetry and essay formats to explore my world, my life and how I fit into it.
I am a featured writer at several online sites, including kveller.com, Ritualwell and iPinionsyndicate.com. I am a regular contributor (and favorite poet, as named in a recent tweet by the URJ!) on the Union for Reform Judaism blogsite.
